Hi to all forum members - can you give some advice....

Last year we had a MORSO 04 multifuel stove installed in the lounge - there is an external twinwall metal chimney built and the whole thing was installed by a HETAS installer. We love the stove but as our lounge opens onto the dining room and a large conservatory -the Morso 04 is not giving enough heat output - i think we were wrongly advised re size of stove. We would like to upgrade to a larger stove . We currently have only a 5" metal flue - we have been told that we will need to renew the metal chimney to a 6" - as well as buy a new stove - which could cost over £2500 . We could sell our Morso 04 on e bay to offset the cost of a new stove. But were hoping to use the existing metal chimney - is there a cheaper way of doing this? We already paid £2300 last year for our current installation which is not doing what we need it to do.

Just keep looking for a make with a smaller outlet. You may find a larger stove that is more efficient, say with a catalytic type component that is able, due to the efficient extraction of the heat, use a smaller flue.
