This is a bit strong Keith. The very suggestion that people should give up their right to a decent holiday is likely to put people off the idea of being green rather than convince them. Next thing we know we will all have to beat ourselves with holly each morning!
being green has to do more with appropriate compromise than absolute sacrifice surely?

Keith is right but crikey, i don't think anything short of armageddon will stop people, even the greenest of us from sneaking onto a jet for our exotic hols once in a while. What is really wrong with air travel is that (before the crunch at least) it was cheaper to fly from london to Glasgow than to go by train.

I was Listening to the hypocrisy on radio 4 yesterday where they discussed the possible new runway at Heathrow.
Nobody wanted the runway but everyone wanted to fly. They did a show of hands in the audience asking who had flown in the last three years and everyone put their hands up.
