I am currently working in UK as a Building Services/ Energy/ Carbon consultant. I have been working from last 3 years and have done qualifications like EcoHomes, Code for Sustainable Homes and worked as a BREEAM assessor in commercial sector. However my highest qualification is MSc Energy, Environmental Technology & Economics and my first degree was Electronics Engineering. I have recently been involved in various Wind Turbine, PV and Heat Pumps technical feasibility studies and financial appraisals and carbon calculations.
I need an advice to enhance my career within Renewable Energy and Carbon Trading market by virtue of what kind of professional qualifications available within these fields which help me enhance my career. I am very keen to acquire any qualifications which will boost my future as currently I am stuck within building services only and trying to move on but due to recession etc I am unable to grow at all. Therefore I shall be grateful if any one please advise me what I should do to move on.
Thanks alot for your sincere advice.

Work hard, keep looking for opportunities, dont always say yes but evaluate the options.
Think about starting a "hobby business" as a consultant
Commercial has plenty of unexploited potential.
Don't spend too much on courses and qualifications gain experience.
