(I remember radioactive plasterboard being banned in the UK in the late '80s and at the beginning of the '90s. EU laws where introduced in the UK limiting the radioactivity of building materials. The BBC reported an uproar of the British gypsum industry at the time, continental raw gipsum had to be imported to dilute the radioactive British gipsum going into plasterboard manufacturing to an acceptable level....)
