Could that be The Christopher Monckton ?
On a small domestic scale like this is possibly the only place where Wind powered generation can make any sense ( planning considerations of course notwithstanding).

It's all about Scale!
I can understand NRG Frodsham to an extent, the issue though is that this is a 6kw turbine on a 15m tower, not a 3MW turbine on 150m tower. As the planners had accessed the visual and general impact on local amenity was acceptable. Cllr Dawson used his position and a diatribe of the most uninformed and frankly pathetic nonsense to sway the planning council. We have some tough choices to make. I love the countryside and do no advocate 'sticking' up wind farms everywhere. But there has to be a balance, we accept monolithic Pylons criss-crossing the country without a murmur. There is a pending energy crisis, whether you like it or not, there is no silver bullet. It will take a multitude of solutions, hopefully mostly renewable ones.

Setting precedence - Wind Turbines
If people are allowed to simply erect these inefficient wind turbines willy nilly all over the UK the impact on the landscape would be criminal. By all means have renewable sources of energy but wind turbines should all be offshore and not stuck in peoples faces. In this case I agree with Cllr Dawson if we let one go ahead it will set precedence for anyone to setup a wind turbine.

There are other sources of energy, Solar and ground heat pumps so why are we so hell bent on destroying our countryside by erecting inefficient methods of energy generation like wind turbines and wind farms onshore and at the same time blotting the landscape. Be gren by all means but not at the expense of others.
