DECC make announcements re energy and carbon

The government has this week released two policy announcements relating to green buildings. DECC has published the consultation on Minimum Energy Performance Standards, and confirmed that it will not amend the fourth carbon budget.

Five green council homes for Lincoln tenants

City of Lincoln Council has brought the number of eco-friendly new homes it has provided in the past two years to 10. Five properties have just been built - and the first tenants are expected to move into the new properties in Stapleford Court, off Stapleford Avenue, within a fortnight.

Turning up the heat in Enfield

Government backsliding on energy efficiency

The Committee on Climate Change has warned the Government that its progress on energy efficiency in the commercial sector has been “limited” and previous headway on improving home energy efficiency has “fallen away” following changes to policies last year.
