After searching for stoves, Ive finally narrowed it down to either the Handol 51 or a Clearview 400. I know parts for the Clearview are readily available, but cant find much info on the Handol.
Has anyone had any experience of these stoves ?

Never heard of them Kev. Why choose a stove based on parts availability though? are you going to be rough with it?

No Dave, But I'm planning on keeping the stove for a while, and will no doubt have to replace door seal and fire bricks at some stage.
Handol stoves are apparently very popular in Sweeden. I don't know anyone who's got one but the stoves feel well made and look the business.

I see (just looked them up in Google). They are designer stoves with soapstone and the like.

Just seen this posting. One of my sons has, I think, a 50 series and it is superb. I have a Clearview which is also superb and lights extremely quickly. However I am moving and will probably go for Handol as they are more modern looking. In my opinion I don't think there would be much to choose between them. They are both very efficient so for me it is down to looks alone.

The Handol stoves are new on he block over here in the UK but a famed stove in Sweden. They are 80% effecient, so burn much better tahn any other stoves. Part are available without problems. Most Stove Supply shops will sell you a seal, glass is heat proof and you can obtain it through a uality glass merchant for approx £30. However give this guy a call, he runs a stove business in Wentworth Yorkshire. He is Hetal Certified and knows his stoves, especially the Handol.

Can anyone help - I have a Clearview stove and its not even a year old and the paint is peeling off. The trader, "The Fireplace" in New Mills does not offer any after service and dealing with him has become difficult. The stove has lost a random bit patch of paint off the side. Clearview have not been great at all as they say Kevin at The Fireplace is their agent, but he will not help me. I have been to Trading Standards and we have sent all the standard letters to no avail they now say my only way forward is via the small claims court - what a load of hassle. I feel really disappointed and let down and I would never buy a Clearview stove again.
