Green Light for Leeds eco homes

Plans for a waterfront development of more than 300 innovative self-heating homes in Hunslet have been given the green light by Leeds City Council planning chiefs. The development will include 150 energy-efficient houses and 162 flats - just 16 of which will be classified as ‘affordable’.

Building on greenbelt goes up under Tories

The number of homes approved to be built on green belt land increased fivefold under David Cameron’s first five years in power, new figures have revealed. Almost 12,000 new homes won planning permission on green belt sites last year.
