Can water source heat pumps be a vital part of the future of heating? The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) is running a free event on water source heat pumps in Central London on Tuesday 30 June.
|
|
The water source heat pump event is part of a roadshow series which will help housing providers, developers, businesses, local authorities and communities understand more about heat pumps and the opportunities they provide for carbon reductions, fuel bill savings and safe, secure energy supplies.
The water source heat pump event will focus on this exciting, emerging technology. By attending the event, participants will have the chance to learn more about:
- The potential for water source heat pumps in different parts of the country
- Projects which show the technology in action
- How to identify a potential project
- Financing heat pumps, including unlocking the Renewable Heat Incentive?
- Key considerations for specifying, installing and maintaining a water source heat pump
From the Hermitage River Project on the Thames in the heart of London, to Plas Newydd, an 18th century county house in Anglesey, to a new development of over 130 homes and an hotel in Kingston, water source heat pumps are proving their worth in different locations and serving different heat and hot water needs.
