There are still places available at Sustainable Homes' one-day conference on 25 February in Leeds, which will evaluate the practical steps landlords can take to improve tenant's housing and health.
Sustainable Homes are holding a one day National Conference on the topic of Health and Housing, which aims to educate landlords regarding ways to improve their tenants health and general quality of life through upgrades to their housing stock.
Housing has a noticeable impact on health. The conference will bring forward ideas, experiences and opportunities based on previous work and research in the sector.
Delegates will be able to hear case studies on how other housing providers have improved their housing and the health of their residents, learn how supply chain is improving air quality and how it can be done, take part in workshops on new tools and standards for housing, and have their say on how housing providers can improve the metrics and reports of measuring environmental performance.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to discussions and learn from others during interactive workshops, gain CPD points and network with over 70 registered landlords and suppliers from across the UK.
Two particular presentations will cover the ways in which improvements to homes had a measurable impact in reducing hospital admissions, and a project in Oldham which also saw improvements to health after insulation works.
