North Dorset Eco Homes event Print this pagePrint this page

Over the coming weekend, 17-18th May, people will be invited to visit a list of properties in North Dorset that have either been built with environmentally friendly and fuel efficient systems or have had similar improvements made to them. This will be the first Open Eco Homes event in North Dorset. Paul McIntosh, Sustainability Officer for North Dorset District Council, said: “We have asked householders and companies who have installed energy efficiency, renewable energy and other environmental improvements in their homes and offices to share their experience with those who wish to improve their own properties.”

Properties taking part in the event vary from privately owned small homes to HMP Guys Marsh and the offices of North Dorset District Council.

Due to availability and limited access it may be necessary to book to view some of the listed properties. To check the viewing details or to reserve your place go to northdorsetopenhomes.eventbrite.com

The Ecohomes event is being managed by the North Dorset District Council Sustainability Officer supported by the Green Open Homes Network with funding from the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
