I am designing/building a small timber frame porch, 2.5w x 1.2d m. It will have a dwarf wall approx 700 high on oak framed, sheeps wool insulated in cavity, d/g windows above & a 1/2 glazed door & pitched roof. What composition should this wall be constructed of, thickness of copper, fixing method, onto ply membrane? Any ideas welcome.

For a porch I would normally think in terms of it being outside the insulation barrier of the house (or building) and so it wouldnt need any insulation or double glazing. This is both a cheaper and greener way to go.

In this case I think the front door will be left open most of the time, so its use is more hall-like.
