Chimney Opening needed for a Woodburner?

We are looking at replacing our open log fire with a wood burner. Having looked at the sizes of wood burners and the building regs we would need to enlarge the size of our fireplace opening. The building regs are quite clear about clearances around the sides and front but I am not sure how much space is needed above the top of the woodburner? Presumably as well as the regs you need to leave enough space to get your hands in and fit amd clamp the flue.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
