I would like to see this repeated across other areas of the country where there is a rural housing need. All houses should be built to this level of insulation so that we won't in future need so much energy to heat our homes. I aim to build more houses like this.

I applaud the council and community for having confidence in this most amazing material. Straw will keep them warm, healthy and peaceful in brilliantly thermal and acoustically performing home. Incredible use of natural materials like the hazel pins - it's so good to see what is possible with natural materials and that they are cheaper than more conventional housing... and what is more: carbon negative.. it seems impossibly perfect and I'm not sure why we aren't all doing it yet. No need for those expensive pre-fab straw panels..
