A series of open days next month aim to show eco-refurbishment at its best. Pioneering owners of some of the UK’s most eco-friendly SuperHomes will host free Open Days this September.

SuperHomes are older homes refurbished by their owners for greater comfort, lower bills and fewer carbon emissions - at least 60% less! In short, these homes represent eco-refurbishment at its best.
Visitors can expect to come away with plenty of ideas for greening their own properties, including home improvements likely to be eligible for future Green Deal finance. Most SuperHomes have superior insulation; many have alternative heating sources and some produce their own energy. Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and post-war properties are amongst those open to the public.
Over 40 SuperHomes are set to open in September, of which 11 will open for the first time, including the first SuperHome in Northern Ireland.
